The Initial Scoliosis Consultation for
a comprehensive assessment
60 minutes
We firmly believe that providing a comprehensive 1-hour initial appointment is essential for us to understand you not only as a person with scoliosis, but as a whole individual.
During this session, we will take time to thoroughly review your scoliosis history, discuss the symptoms you are currently experiencing, and consider any previous treatments you have undergone. We will then explore the potential root causes of your condition.
Next, we will conduct a full physical examination and assessment from head to toe. This typically includes taking posture-related measurements, as well as reviewing your EOS full spine X-ray.
At the conclusion of your appointment, we will clearly explain your clinical diagnosis, scoliosis classification, and our proposed treatment plan, including the expected timeline moving forward.

Our program is evidence-based and emphasises educating, empowering, and enabling patients to actively manage their scoliosis. We have developed a unique treatment pathway that integrates several scoliosis treatment methods, known as 3D Movement Correction, a Physiotherapy Scoliosis Specific Exercises (PSSE) program.
PSSE program has gained popularity as a non-invasive method for treating scoliosis and other spinal disorders. According to Society on Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment (SOSORT)’s recommendations, PSSE includes the following:
Stabilising the posture with scoliosis exercises and stretches designed to increase the strength and flexibility of the muscles around the spine.
Educating patients and families about scoliosis and the importance of exercises and mindfulness of posture.
Training patients how to self-correct the curve of the spine in three dimensions, both while doing scoliosis exercises and during daily activities.
