A Plus Physio Clinic : Sports & Scoliosis specialises in the treatment of sports injuries, scoliosis, and other spinal disorders using a variety of hands-on manual therapy techniques, dry needling, and movement medicine.

Our Team

Austin Tsai,

Director & Physiotherapist

Austin Tsai is a certified Scoliosis consultant, and is a regular keynote speaker at various international medical conferences and national courses. He was an Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland supervising musculoskeletal clinical studies for Masters and Bachelor physiotherapy students.  

Austin began his career as an exercise physiologist graduated from the National Taiwan Sport University back in 2010. He furthered his studies into Physiotherapy and moved to Australia to pursue his passion in helping his patients through movement and manual therapy.  Since 2018, Austin Tsai has been spending his entire focus on treating patients with spinal disorders, in particular Scoliosis.  Austin has particularly specialized in spinal manual therapies and movement therapies in elderly people and teenagers.  

With the background as a competitive ballroom dancer and an accredited exercise physiologist, Austin Tsai has always been passionate about human movement, and has developed his unique method, 3D Movement Correction which is the way of “reseting” movement dysfunction effectively through realigning spine and other joints.

Anna Liu,

Personal Trainer

Anna Liu is an esteemed personal trainer who possesses over a decade of experience in the health industry. She embarked on her professional journey as a group exercise instructor and a Zumba instructor and subsequently earned her certification as a personal trainer in the year 2018.

Motivated by a close acquaintance, Anna Liu made the decision to specialise in postural correction and prenatal to postnatal personal training. She demonstrates exceptional proficiency in identifying and remedying any postural deficiencies or dysfunctional kinetic chains exhibited by her clientele. Anna upholds the belief that safety and efficacy are fundamental elements of every exercise regimen.

During her leisure hours, Anna dedicates herself to personal fitness endeavours and engages in outdoor exploration during the weekends. She is dedicated to guiding her clients towards achieving their fitness objectives and enhancing their overall state of well-being.

Hugo Cheung,

Physiotherapist

Hugo Cheung is an AHPRA certified physiotherapist in Australia, holding a degree from Griffith University. He is a trilingual practitioner, proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Hugo's clinical focus includes spinal disorders and postural asymmetry, with a dedicated interest in managing scoliosis and alleviating pain through individualized exercise programs. Since 2021, he has acquired diverse clinical skills, encompassing manual therapy (including BPPV, Mulligan, and Watson Headache techniques), dry needling, cupping, and Clinical Pilates. He is committed to ongoing professional development, pursuing advanced training in complex conditions.

Beyond his clinical practice, Hugo actively contributes to professional and public education. He regularly conducts seminars and workshops on injury management, sports rehabilitation, and effective self-treatment strategies.

His background as an active sportsman, with a decade of experience in weightlifting and recent engagement in conditioning and badminton, deeply informs his passion for exercise-based patient care.
